Grades Teaching Assistant: Primary responsibilities include providing support to class 1 during main lesson, subject classes and transitions. Additional duties include supervision of grades students at snack, lunch, and recess periods. Bachelor’s degree required. This is a part time position with weekdays hours from 8-2:30.
Early Childhood Assistant: Duties include assisting the lead teacher, setting up the classroom, preparing snacks, and supporting the rhythm of the classroom. Bachelor’s degree required. Several positions available with morning, afternoon, and full day opportunities.
Extended Care Lead Teacher: Duties include leading a mixed-age preschool-kindergarten class on Monday through Friday. The teacher will also be in charge of directing assistantsides and working cooperatively with the morning EC faculty to create a cohesive educational-care experience for the children throughout the day. Bachelor’s Degree required, Waldorf Teacher Certification preferred. Work hours: Monday through Friday from 11:30 am-4:00 pm with the possibility of combining with other opportunities.
Beforecare and Aftercare Coordinators: Duties include providing before and after school care to students from Pre-K through Grade 8. Applicants should have direct experience working with children, an education background and an interest in Waldorf education. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:15-8:15 am and 3:00-6:00 pm with the possibility of combining with other opportunities.

Spring Garden Waldorf School was founded in 1981 and is an accredited member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. SGWS serves students from Pre-K through Grade 8. Our expanding curriculum includes Spanish, Choral, Orchestra, Woodwork, Handwork, Physical Education, Gardening and Extra Lesson.
Spring Garden is located on 12 rural acres near Akron, Ohio and is approximately 30 minutes from Cleveland.
