Early Childhood Assistant
Early Childhood Assistant M-F 11:30-2:30 Spring Garden Waldorf School is seeking an early childhood assistant teacher to work with support classes serving children from the ages of 3-6 years. We are seeking a professional who shows initiative, self-development, and carries an active interest in life.
Waldorf teachers are always learning and researching in preparation to create a developmentally appropriate, multi-sensory and challenging learning environment that addresses the whole child-cognitively, socially and creatively.
This midday position involves setting up for rest time for multiple classrooms, student supervision outdoors, and other cleaning and organizational tasks to support the early childhood program. Hours for this part-time hourly position are approximately 11:30a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mon-Fri.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a Waldorf school. Training and certification are supported through the school. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Interested candidates should send a resume, cover letter, and three letters of reference to learn@sgws.org

Spring Garden Waldorf School was founded in 1981 and is an accredited member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. SGWS serves students from Pre-K through Grade 8. Our expanding curriculum includes Spanish, Choral, Orchestra, Woodwork, Handwork, Physical Education, Gardening and Extra Lesson.
Spring Garden is located on 16 rural acres near Akron, Ohio and is approximately 30 minutes from Cleveland.
