Admission Process

Welcome to Spring Garden Waldorf School!  We hope our website provides the information you need to answer some questions about our school and we look forward to meeting you to learn more about your student.

Once we get to know your family and your student(s), you will be invited to apply and be interviewed for enrollment. Students in the grades will also come for three visit days as part of the application process.

Here is an outline of our process:

  • Submit an Inquiry Form or contact our Admissions Director at admissions@sgws.org.
  • Arrange a School Tour or attend an Open House
  • Fill out our Application
  • Submit the Processing Fee
  • Interview, Assessment & Visits
    • Family/Teacher Interview for PreK & Kindergarten students
    • In Person First Grade Assessment for Rising Grade 1 students
    • 3-day student visit for students Grade 2-8

If accepted, families are invited to enroll and students are admitted with a ten-week probationary period to ensure that our school is able to serve your child and that you are comfortable with your decision to enroll. Enrolled families are welcome to apply for EdChoice scholarships and Spring Garden’s Tuition Assistance program.

Admission key dates include:

  • Mid-year, current year enrollment — July 1 – November 1
  • Re-enrollment — February 1 – February 15
  • Next School Year Enrollment – September 15 – July 1

Please note, our birthday cut off date for grade placement, including Kindergarten, is June 1st.
