Other Ways to Give

We are so grateful for all charitable support of our school and we aim to make it as convenient as possible for you to support our mission. Spring Garden Waldorf School is a non-profit 501(c)3 and relies on a combination of tuition and fundraising revenue to support our operations.

There are many ways to support our mission. Here are some options:

Annual Fund

This essential fundraiser supports our school’s operating budget, which consists of a blend of tuition income and your philanthropic support. Together, these funds support the operations and essential needs of the school. Learn More.

OAIS Tax Credit

You can receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit by supporting Spring Garden! Any Ohio state taxes owed can be offset by donating to the OAIS Scholarship Granting Organization, which provides need-based scholarships for SGWS K-12 students. Individuals can donate up to $750 and married couples up to $1,500. TIP: You can donate until April 15th for the 2025 tax year, and you can donate a second time to take advantage for 2026 as well. Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

A donor-advised fund is an account you create at a sponsoring organization, generally a public charity, where an individual can make a charitable gift to receive an immediate tax benefit and retain advisory privileges to disburse charitable gifts over time to various non-profits. Donate cash, stocks or non-publicly traded assets such as private business interests, cryptocurrency and private company stock to your DAF. IRA Charitable Rollover

An IRA Charitable Rollover is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA payable to Spring Garden Waldorf School or other non-profit. These payments can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions (RMDs) and if you are over age 72, this may keep your taxable income lower. Contact your IRA Administrator to make a distribution. You can use this sample letter to send to your IRA Administrator.

Benefit Auction

Our Annual Benefit Auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We accept direct donations of new items or experiences for the silent or live auction. You can also sponsor the event or make a direct donation. Learn more about this year’s auction here.
