Organization

In Waldorf Schools generally, and at Spring Garden Waldorf School, collaboration and shared responsibility provide the foundation of our school leadership and governance. Faculty, staff, and the board share responsibility for guiding and leading the school strategically and ensuring its health and well being. Governance of the school is structured and implemented in a manner that both cultivates collaboration and is effective.

Faculty

Our experienced educators are in charge of student curriculum and with teaching the whole child. A unique aspect of a Waldorf grade school is the one-teacher approach to main lesson work. Meaning the class teacher ideally remains with students from first through eighth grade to help teachers better understanding and build relationships with their students. This teacher, however, is by no means the children’s only teacher.

The Spring Garden Waldorf School Board is comprised of a very committed group of people who respect Waldorf Education and its unique structure. The Board works to ensure that Spring Garden is legally sound, financially secure, and that it is actively planning for its future as a model Waldorf School in Northeast Ohio.
